Golf Instruction

      We are happy to introduce our new Head Golf Professional & General Manager Todd Goodman. Todd will be working with all aspects of the golf course. Along with merchandising, instruction Todd will be working closely with and developing the membership, golf leagues and tournaments.

     In 1994 Todd began his career as Assistant Professional at the Country Club of Ithaca. Todd soon found himself in Syracuse New York two years later working with Golf Magazine top New York State Instructor and two time PGA teacher of the year Jack Conger at the Lafayette Golf and Country Club.

     The 2000 season marked the inaugural year of the Central New York Golf Academy. Todd worked along side world renowned and top 25 instructor Mike Bender as well as Mike Bennett who are instructors to such players as Masters Champion Zach Johnson, FBR Open Champion Aaron Baddeley, Ted Tryba, Lee Janson, Steve Elkington, and many more touring professionals seen today. Using the V1 computer analysis system, along with training aids he has developed, Todd works with all levels of players on strategies on improving their game.

     In addition to instruction Todd has the most up to date knowledge on club fitting. He has spent many hours fulfilling training requirements to be certified to custom fit clubs for manufactures such as Titleist, Mizuno, Cleveland, Wilson and many other top brands. Todd has also been trained by Don Keen an expert putting fitter to many Touring Professionals as well as wedge fitting by Bob Volkey ( Titleist wedge designer ).

     In 2004 Todd became the Head Professional at The Country Club of Syracuse, a private club owned by P.G.A. Tour Professionals Jeff Sluman and Dudley Hart. This year Todd is excited to bring his career to Erie Village where he can settle close to home with wife Bethany and two year old son Logan Tanner.
